I am so happy to be sharing my work here at Biography. While I now live on Bainbridge Island in Washington, I used to call Lake Oswego home.

A bit of personal history: I had my first ‘Art Show’ at 8 years old on my backyard patio. The entry fee was 10 cents. While I am not classically, trained, I did have the benefit of working with, and learning from, many incredible artists and creative people over the years. Art to me is a collaborative process. Michelangelo said, “Every block of stone has a statue inside it, and it’s the task of the sculpture to discover it”

My approach when starting a painting, be it from a memory, a photo, or from my sketch, is to allow it to be true in its interpretation.
All of the work being shared here is from my personal travels, be they from time spent on the Ligurian coast, Maui beaches, or ferry rides to Seattle.
