Nature plays an important role in the process, from mineral rich water and the sun’s rays to plants and the earth, all used in various stages of printing.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHAND LOOMED\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOur hand loomed fabric is made in rural India by artisan weavers using pedals, shuttles, and manpower to weave the fabric, all without the aid of electricity.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe multi-step process is carried out by the community, from warping yarns and winding cones, to starching fabric and setting up the loom.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe weavers we work with are either entrepreneurs with looms in their homes or part of a weaving revival project or NGO.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eHAND SPUN YARNS\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOur khadi fabric is hand loomed using hand spun yarns. Artisan weavers use a spinning wheel to hand spin natural fibers into yarn. Then, they weave the yarn into fabric on a loom using pedals and shuttles.
